I've played eve once before, under the name Captain Brass, who was a Caldari pilot, didnt get to far with him, but was flying level 4 missions with my trusty drake, and getting my ass kicked in 1v1 pvp in my merlin, for one reason or another I stopped playing a found my interests lay else where.
I starting playing a science fiction rts mmo called mankind which I had originally played when I was in high school many moons before, filled with nostalgia I downloaded it and started playing, not a bad game but the community was dead, the only other player I could find was a French guy a couple of jumps away, my attention soon wavered and I decided if I'm gonna play a space themed mmo why not get back on eve and give it a proper good go this time.
Originally as you can tell by my name I started life wanting to be a trader/industrialist with abit of mining on the side, sadly starting the game with 5k isk and a ship with a cargo hold barely able to store a small water mellon, my hopes of instant entrepreneurism were slightly dashed, so I started my life as a mission runner, I was not liking this prospect as I remembered the long grind with my previous character, I found missions alot harder being an armour tank, and previously I could fly level 2's with my merlin, I needed a cruiser with Cargo, and a maller at that, I was very upset taking my shinny new omen to a mission only to find I was hammered very quickly, almost put off by the whole thing, I went back to the easier missions and saved up for a maller, this was a much better purchase and slammed through level 2's no problem.
At this point the idea of joining a Corp was very much at the front of my mind, and finding a good one can be a tricky affair, for the type of player I am joining a huge one was out the question, as I've said cargo is a quiet man and I felt he would be lost in all the noise, the one I did find and join after much searching was Aspire Academy,

Welcome
Hello to all that read this, my name is Dan and this is my first ever blog, I've always been interested in writing one but never found a subject to write about, until I started playing Eve,
About the player: Sadly my game time is not as much as it used to be, found myself a nice girl, and an alright job, sadly early starts came with the job, so no more staying till 4 am :( I mostly play RPGs, RTSs and FPSs, RPGs being the main object of my gaming obsession, Still waiting for something to rival baldours gate 2, dragon age tried but failed sadly, and the second one was really bad. Roll on skyrim, Ive been playing eve for almost 2 years now,
About Cargo Guy: Cargo is a quiet man, who feels that actions are louder then words, he has a joke and a laugh with his Corp mates during quiet time but during fleet ops he has only the mission in mind, a proud member of the Amarr Empire, and loyal soldier to ASPIRE Commandos, and friend to the Aspire family and our new alliance The New Dawn Brotherhood.
Purpose: I guess the reason for these blogs are to tell my Eve tale, and to show to new players that you don't have to be a 23 hour a day man to have fun, and actually achieve.
